Beavers Crush Delta Invite

The ARC women's swim team delivered a dominant performance at the Delta Invite, capturing 1st place out of 11 teams in an impressive team effort highlighted by multiple discipline sweeps.

Sophomore Clara Walker led the way in the backstroke events, sweeping the 50, 100, and 200 backstroke to claim the overall backstroke discipline title. Her strong and consistent performances across all three distances set the tone for the meet.

In diving, sophomore Ashley Johnson was equally dominant, earning victories on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards to secure the diving discipline crown for ARC.

The women's team showed both depth and versatility throughout the day. Several swimmers stepped outside their usual events to take on new challenges. Meg Gardner competed in the 200 butterfly, while freshman Macie Banner, Mya Thomas, Anabel Gardia Maldonado, and sophomore Amber Inderkum took on the demanding 400 IM.

Despite competing on a super cold day in a super cold pool, the ARC women rose to the occasion. Their resilience, willingness to try new events, and standout performances across disciplines made it a successful and confidence-building meet for the Beavers.
