Women’s Swim and Dive Powers Through Two-Day Slate with Relay Wins and Diving Sweep
The women's swim and dive team completed a successful two-day stretch of competition. Day one opened Friday at Las Positas in a tri-meet, where the women set the tone immediately. The 200 freestyle relay team of Anabel Maldonado, Jackie Clouser, Amber Inderkum, and Sasha Samoylovich (pictured to the right) opened the meet with an impressive win. Individual highlights followed throughout the session, including victories from Amber Inderkum in the 100 breaststroke, Sasha Samoylovich and Anabel Maldonado in the 100 IM, and strong backstroke performances from Clara Walker and Jackie Clouser in the 100 back.
On day two at the NorCal Relays, the women continued their momentum. Divers Ashley Johnson and Arieanna Black dominated the boards, sweeping both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. In the pool, the 4x100 IM relay of Mya Thomas, Jackie Clouser, Clara Walker, and Meg Gardner earned a relay victory, and the team also added another win in the 200 freestyle relay.
The weekend marked a productive training and competition opportunity as the women's team showed depth, versatility, and strong early-season form.
