Bio

Coach T-Mo joins American River College as the Associate Head Coach, equipped with a rich tapestry of playing and coaching experience.  At ARC, he is tasked with tactical and strategic team development, as well as assisting Lorente in managing all aspects of the men’s basketball program.  As Associate Head Coach, T-Mo aims to instill values of commitment, high basketball IQ and competitive greatness, helping student-athletes achieve their goals. 

Starting his coaching career under Coach Lorente’s tutelage at Rocklin High School in 2010, Tauran served as a Varsity assistant until 2012 before returning to play professionally in China.  Upon the conclusion of playing, he served as the Head JV Coach at Inderkum High School, playing a key role in the success of the program.  Most recently, Coach Moore served as the Head Coach at El Camino High School (2023-25).

After a transient childhood, Tauran settled in Hawaii where he played at Radford High School before being recruited to compete at Cosumnes River College where he earned All-Conference honors his Sophomore season (2007-08).  He then earned a scholarship to CSU East Bay where he captured Conference Player of the Year and NAIA All-American honors in 2009.  

Academically, Coach Tauran holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and is pursuing a Master’s in Kinesiology.  He resides in Sacramento with his wife Brittany and two kids, Tori and Tauran.
