American River College took a 3-2 lead into the 8^th inning on Wednesday at Delta College but the #3 ranked Mustangs scored three times to go up 5-3.  American River made it close by scoring a run in the 9^th thanks to an RBI groundout by freshman PH Ethan Massi (Pleasant Grove) but with runners at 1^st and 3^rd and two outs, RF Brnadon Pelechowicz (Yuba City) struck out on a 3-2 pitch to end the game.  Freshman RHP Zack Laduzinski (Whitney) got his first career start on the mound as an opener and last 1 1/3 innings.  Sophomore RHP Kaden Clive (Delta HS) was masterful for 4 1/3 innings, allowing just three hits and no runs.  Sophomore 1B Luke Haney (Oak Ridge) and freshman 3B Jameson Barnes (Twelve Bridges) led the Beavers offense with two hits each and an RBI each and Pelechowicz doubled in a run in the 8^th inning to put the Beavers up 3-2 at the time.  The Beavers will play their final home game of the 2026 season tomorrow (Thursday) against Delta at 2:00 pm.
