Bio

Patty Hall (Ruby) came to ARC after graduating from Encina High School in 1983.  While at Encina she was a three-sport star, excelling in volleyball, basketball, and softball.  She was honored with the Encina Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year award following her senior year.  She was also named All-Metro in volleyball as well as being the teams Most Valuable Player.

After graduating from Encina, Patty came to American River College where not only did she excel in the same three sports, she added Track & Field to her schedule and threw the javelin!  As a member of the volleyball team she was the middle blocker while playing for ARC Hall of Fame coach Sue Scott.  She was named All-Conference in 1985 and 86 as well as being named to the All-State team.  Once volleyball ended she joined the basketball team as a shooting guard for Coach Tami Yasuda’s team.  Once the Spring hit, Patty headed outdoors to play shortstop for the softball team which was led by fellow Hall of Fame Inductee Hub Morphew.  She also threw the javelin for the Track & Field team which was led by fellow Hall of Fame Inductee Jean Snuggs.  For all of her efforts she was named the Female Athlete of the Year in 1986.

After her decorated athletic career Patty moved up north to Red Bluff where she stayed active in softball playing in a city league team as well as for a church league team.  She attends the High Point Church in Red Bluff and is currently writing a book called “Arisen One” which hopefully soon will be published.

Patty truly was ahead of her time in Women’s Athletics and to this day remains one of the greatest athletes in American River College history.
