Bio
Jarrett Bush came to American River College from Will C. Wood High School in Vacaville where he was one of the most decorated athletes in school history. Jarrett was all-state in football and track & field at Will C. Wood and he was a varsity wrestler as well. He graduated from Wood H.S. in 2002.
In his first season at ARC Jarrett was named 1st team All- Mid-Empire Conference in football as a wide receiver playing for Head Coach Don Dillon. In 2003 as a sophomore Jarrett was not only 1st team All-Mid-Empire Conference, but he also earned 1st team All-Region 1 and All-State as a defensive back. His ability earned him a scholarship to Utah State University. Jarrett also ran for ARC’s track team under Coach Rick Anderson in 2002 and 2003. As a sophomore in 2003 Jarrett was the Bay Valley Conference 110 Meter Hurdles Champion and was 2nd in the 400 Hurdles. At the Nor-Cal Meet he finished 6th in both the 110 and the 400 Hurdles and in the Long Jump as well. Jarrett’s best mark in the 110 Hurdles of 14.43 is still the 4th best mark in school history. Jarrett graduated on time from ARC with an AA degree in Liberal Arts.
In 2005 at Utah State University Jarrett was named to the All-Western Athletic Conference 1st Team during his senior year as a defensive back. His 13 pass breakups still stand today tied for 5th in school history and was 5th in Division 1 that year. Jarrett was a team captain for the Aggies and earned his degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology.
Following his time at Utah St. Jarrett was signed as a free agent by the Carolina Panthers in 2006 but wound up making the roster for the Green Bay Packers where he played for 8 seasons. In 2011 Jarrett earned his place in the hearts of the Green Bay faithful by intercepting Ben Roethlisberger in Super Bowl XLV. He also had 4 solo tackles and a pass break-up in the game which earned him a Super Bowl ring. After his 8 years with the Packers Jarrett played for two more seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Calgary Stampeders before retiring in 2017.
Jarrett now calls the Green Bay area home along with his two daughters, Sellenna and Mia. He owns BLO Blow Dry Bar in Ashwaubenon Wisconsin and is active in the community with the local Boys & Girls Club.
