    Former American River College relief pitcher Ian Codina (17, pictured) signed a pro contract with the Southern Illinois Miners of the Frontier League.

    Once again a lot of hard work in the classroom paid off as the American River College Baseball team posted a near program record 2.94 team gpa in the Spring semester.
  • Former Beaver Steve Holm leads Illinois State to Regional Finals

    It didn’t take Steve Holm long to make an impact as a head coach at the Division 1 level.  After successful stints as an assistant coach at Sac State and Purdue University, the former Beaver player lead the Illinois State Redbirds to their first ever regional final and a 36-26 record in his first year.
  • Sonny Ledford wins Big 8 conference Gold Glove

    Sophomore third baseman Sonny Ledford (Rio Americano, pictured) won the BIG 8 Conference Gold Glove Award for corner infielders it was announced on Wednesday.
  • Beavers close out season with 7-1 win

    On the final day of the 2019 season the American River College baseball team found a way to win their first conference series, defeating Cosumnes River College 7-1 at Beaver Field.
  • Beavers win final road game of 2019
    April 25, 2019
    American River College went on the road for the final time in 2019 and picked up a win against Cosumnes River College on Thursday.  For the 2nd straight game the Beavers rapped out 15 hits, including an inside-the-park home run from Ian McIsaac (Davis) to down the Hawks 10-6.

    The wind played havoc with the Beavers defense on Thursday as they misplayed four fly balls leading to multiple runs allowed on the day as the Beavers fell 10-1 to top-ranked Delta College in Stockton on Thursday.

    The American River College baseball game scheduled for Thursday against Diablo Valley College has been moved up to Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. to try and beat the incoming storm scheduled to arrive on Thursday.
  • Farrell's big day still not enough for Beavers

    Freshman 2B Dillen Farrell (Antelope, pictured) had the best day of his college career on Friday at Santa Rosa as he hit a two-run homer-the first of his career- and he had an RBI single driving in all three of the A.R.C. runs but the Beavers still fell to the Bear Cubs 4-3.

    Despite the heavy rainfall that came down on Friday night and early Saturday morning the American River College baseball team was still able to get there game in Saturday against Sierra College but it did not start- or end well.

    The American River College baseball team walked a season high 13 times on Friday against cross-town rival Sacramento City College but managed only four hits and dropped the final game of the series 7-5 at Beaver Field.

    In a game that was much closer than the score would indicate the American River College baseball team dropped game two and thus the season series to cross-town rival Sac City College 7-2 at Sac City.

    Cross-town rival Sacramento City College was fresh off a sweep off a three game sweep of Sierra College in which the Panthers scored 33 runs but the American River College pitching staff limited Sac City to just four hits and two unearned runs.
  • Nick Perry named Academic All-State
    March 11, 2019
    Sophomore RHP Nick Perry from Rio Linda High School has been named to the academic all-state team it was announced Thursday.  Perry has had a 4.0 gpa all three semesters at A.R.C. 
  • Beavers lose 5-0 to Ohlone

    In the final non-conference game of the year for American River College the Beavers were shut out at home, losing to Ohlone College 5-0. 
  • Beavers blanked in Fremont

    The 2019 schedule had to be altered again to beat the rain as the American River College baseball team traveled to #9 ranked Ohlone College in Fremont on Monday instead of Tuesday.
  • Beavers' bats come alive in Big 8 opener

    With all of the rain recently, 4 inches dropped on Sacramento in a three day span, the American River College baseball team had not hit on the field since their game at Solano College last Friday.

    It has been a rough start to the season for the Beavers as the three game series with Butte College took its toll as freshman INF Dillen Farrell (Antelope) injured his shoulder and sophomore 2B Ray Henry (Colfax) broke his thumb to go along with injuries to 3B Sonny Ledford (Rio Americano) and 1B Steven Langley (El Camino).

    After suffering their first shutout loss of the season on Saturday the American River College baseball team bounced right back and picked up their second shutout win of the season at Hartnell College on Saturday. 
  • Beavers can't hold big lead, fall to Mission 10-9

    American River College was primed to snap their four game losing streak on Tuesday, taking a 9-3 lead into the 8th inning but Mission College had other plans and used their potent lineup to score two runs in the 8th and 5 in the 9th to win 10-9.

    American River College’s week ended like it started, with a disappointing loss at home as the Beavers fell to Feather River College 8-6 on Friday. 
  • Fiday's game rescheduled for 11 AM

    As the American River College baseball team tries to stay one step ahead of Mother Nature, Friday’s baseball game against Feather River College will be moved from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. to try and beat the storm that is scheduled to come in in the late afternoon. 
  • Beavers start fast again but drop game to Yuba

    For the 2nd time in their two home games this year American River College put a crooked number on the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning.  Unfortunately, today it would not be enough as the Beavers suffered their first loss of the season, 5-3 to Yuba College.

    Due to the incoming storm this weekend the American River College baseball team will play a double header at home on Thursday instead of a single game Thursday and Saturday.
  • Beavers sweep West Valley in 1-0 shutout win
    January 26, 2019
    American River College completed the two game sweep of West Valley College by defeating the Vikings 1-0 in Saratoga on Saturday.  It was the Beavers first shutout win since blanking Hartnell College 8-0 on February 10 last season.
